Terms of service

Lobbi is a sign-in and sign-out log for buildings: a kiosk app for the iPad, an admin console with a live board, history and CSV export, and the sign-up that connects them. We improve Lobbi over time, so features may change.

The person who creates a building is its owner. The owner controls billing and can delete the building account; any admin can do everything else. You’re responsible for who you add as an admin, for keeping your Google or Apple sign-in secure, and for what happens under your building.

Your directory and visit log belong to you. We store and process them only to provide Lobbi, as our privacy policy describes, and you can export them as CSV at any time.

You’re responsible for having the right to record the people who sign in at your building, and for telling them what you record and why, as the law where you are requires. A short notice by the kiosk is a good start.

Don’t misuse Lobbi: don’t try to reach another building’s data, get around the plan’s limits, disrupt or overload the service, probe it for weaknesses without our permission, reverse engineer it, or use it to record anything unlawful.

• Every new building starts with a 7-day free trial. No card is needed to start one.
• After the trial, Lobbi is $20 per location per month, for up to 40 active people in the building’s directory. Guests and deactivated people don’t count. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
• Payment is taken by Stripe, monthly in advance, and the plan renews each month until it’s canceled. Owners add a card and manage or cancel the subscription from Billing in the console. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
• If a payment fails, the kiosk keeps working for a 7-day grace period while it’s retried. If a trial ends without a payment method, or a subscription ends, the kiosk pauses and the console becomes read-only. History and CSV export stay available, so your records are never held back.
• Fees already paid aren’t refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
• We may change the price; we’ll tell owners at least 30 days before a change applies to them.

The kiosk app comes from Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s terms for apps apply to it too. Apple isn’t responsible for Lobbi, its support or its content; we are.

Lobbi’s software, design and name belong to Skaler Labs. You may use Lobbi for your buildings while your account is in good standing, but you may not resell it or present it as your own.

You can stop using Lobbi at any time, and the owner can delete the building account from the console or the iPad, which permanently deletes its data. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated misuse, or nonpayment after the grace period, and will tell you first where we reasonably can.

Lobbi is a record of who signed in and out. It isn’t an access-control, security or emergency-evacuation system, and its live board shows only people who signed in, so don’t rely on it alone where safety depends on knowing who’s in a building.

To the extent the law allows, Lobbi is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and Skaler Labs LLC isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about Lobbi is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

We’ll post changes to these terms here with a new effective date, and tell owners about significant changes before they apply. Using Lobbi after that means you accept them. Questions go to hello@withlobbi.com.
